Test Arena Blekinge – Telemedicine for persons with heart failure | 2017-

Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death in Sweden, both in women and in men. About half of the western world’s population is ill and dying in any of these diseases. In Sweden, 12 percent of the population has any cardiovascular disease.

Research on information and communication technology aimed at people with chronic heart failure to assist in the development of technical solutions through which the target group and its relatives, for example, can deepen their knowledge of the diagnosis, state of illness, nutrition and sleep status and support for good living habits, such as regular meals and sufficient sleep.

The project will simultaneously develop a test bed in which technical solutions can be tested and validated. The project is one of six sub-projects in the Test arena Blekinge and is conducted in collaboration with researchers at Blekinge Institute of Technology and the business community of Blekinge.
